Essential Travel can save you the hassle of an early morning start by booking an airport hotel with parking. You can search online for real time availability and prices with a choice of airport hotels and parking at 22 UK airports, including Gatwick, Heathrow and Manchester


Choose your required Airport; select either room only or a hotel with parking. Enter the date you want to stay at the hotel. Enter your details, read and check the terms and conditions then move onto the payment page. When payment has been authorized you will receive an immediate online confirmation which includes details of your booking and specific information about your hotel and parking information.


If you plan to take your car to the airport, our parking package includes a hotel room and airport parking. Often, this can work out cheaper than just booking airport parking alone. Parking arrangements can vary slightly with each hotel and the cheaper packages are typically those that provide parking at the hotel.


With a secure parking package, your car is parked in an established car park and not at the hotel. This means that your car is kept in a secure car park and you will benefit from a quick transfer service to the airport.







By using our online system you can check availability and select a hotel that meets your requirements. The 'more information 'buttons will allow you to find out where the hotel is situated, where your car will be parked and the frequency of the airport transfer service. You can also search by 'Price' or 'Distance to the Airport' thus enabling you narrow down the search to meet your personal criteria.

Do my times have to be exact?

We only need approximate arrival and return times. Your times will be checked at the car park when you arrive.


What if I need to change my vehicle?

Not a problem if you need to change your car, email us the details and we will inform the car park. Having the correct car details may speed up the check in process on your arrival at the car park. There is no charge for booking amendments of this nature.

Please note - Not all car parks require car details. If you did not give us car details during the booking process, it's because the car park does not require them.


Can I park a motorbike?

We're sorry, but for insurance reasons, we are unable to take bookings for motorbikes.


Can I park a large vehicle or a van?

If your vehicle fits into the parking bays that you find in normal high street car parks, then it is not a problem to reserve a space at any of the airport car parks we feature. If your vehicle is bigger than this please call 0870 844 2676 to check which car parks are able to accommodate your vehicle.


Are there height restrictions at any of the car parks?

Some car parks do have height restrictions. If your vehicle is no bigger higher than a large 4x4, such as a Range Rover, then you can park at any of our featured airport car parks. If your vehicle is taller than this, please call 0870 844 2676 to check which car pars you are able to reserve.


How do I get from the car park to the airport?

Car parks running a transfer service to the airport do so free of charge. Please click the more information button next to the relevant car park to view more information on times and frequency.

How do I make a claim?

If you have purchased travel insurance with a policy number starting ET/AXA then please use the information below to make a claim.

What do I do if I have a pre-existing medical condition?

The definitions below define the term broadly; if you are unsure you should telephone medical screening to be on the safe side.

Firstly are you aware of anything that may cause you or anyone in the travelling party to cancel or curtail your trip, such as the poor health of yourself, anyone in the travelling party, a close member of your family or business partner. A current condition will be classed as pre-existing and will be excluded from cover on our policy, if not declared to Medical Screening.

2. Have you ever suffered from any chronic or recurring illness for which you have received treatment or been a hospital in-patient; Examples, Heart, Lung, Cancerous condition etc.

3. Are you waiting for the results of tests or investigations for a medical condition.

4. Have you been advised not to travel by a doctor

5. Have you been diagnosed as having a terminal illness.

6. Are you receiving, recovering from, or on a waiting list for in-patient treatment in a hospital or nursing home or taking any prescribed medication.
